We currently farm 5,000 acres of certified organic produce in the Shandong Province of China. Additionally, we have a state of the art 100% gluten free processing plant, 200,000 square feet erected in 2008, which is immediately adjacent to the farm. Our fields are being supplied water through our wells approximately 700 feet down and our plant uses filtered water. Our first plant was built in 2001 which has been ISO9001 accredited. The vegetables are allowed to ripen completely in the fields; we then, hand pick, wash, blanch, hydro cool, dry and individually quick freeze. Generally, the products are frozen within approximately one to two hours of harvest. The resulting product offers high quality, excellent nutrition, and a flavoursome crunchy texture that compares to homegrown.
Our vegetables are certified by the Organic Crop Improvement Association (OCIA), one of the world's largest organic certifiers: under the OCIA we are accredited with the US National Organic Program (NOP) as well, IFOAM accredited. We have JONA certification, which is JAS accredited, and we are KSA Kosher Supervision of American. We have a third party auditor in place as well, which is the British Retail Consortium or BRC certification.
